Tiny But Perfect: An Example

Having a small space to work with when adding in your new hot tub may seem very daunting at first; after all, the most common image of a hot tub is an image of huge, beautiful luxury spaces. Still, it is possible to create a small but beautiful hot tub space even on the most cramped patio. In this example scenario, the hot tub is on a small porch of an above ground luxury condo. The porch is high above ground with a railing and comes with a plain hardwood floor and just enough space that the hot tub takes up about half the porch. The view is great, but the space is small. What can we do with this?

To start out the porch has been tested and is approved as strong and safe enough to hold the hot tub. A professional electrician has done the wiring and the hot tub is nestled against the railing on the side of the porch away from the sliding glass door. The railing rising up provides some protection and privacy, but rows of decorative window boxes containing flowering evergreens such as Lavender are added for color, extra beauty and pleasant scents. Decorative wood paneling is added between the railings to complete the privacy wall around the hot tub.

In the remaining space across from the hot tub a small metal café chair and table set is added with a little light-up Zen fountain to help tie the water together while adding mood lighting.  A colorful awning of outdoor material is added above the porch to provide shade and to add to the serene café-like atmosphere of the porch. Weatherproof metal café signs are added to the wall neat the hot tubs to complete the illusion and to help tie the motif together and the tiny patio has finished it’s transformation into a serene café-inspired relaxing space.
